Ay Another Good Day

Hi,

You know its a warm day when I get a frap. The weather has finally gotten better after the nasty cold winter. A month or so ago I had a pledge event with my business frat which was considered a success. It was on a busy friday night so a million of things occurred at the same time. The new pledges were suppose to meet up at chipotle and go together but only two other girls showed up. Thats ok though. I was wearing my new diamond pattern dress and heels. Wearing those heels around were a bad decision and I ended up borrowing flats for one of the girls. We had raffles and mocktails and light food for our guests. I kept going up to the pledge who was in my acct class to make me drinks ha! I actually got closer to my pledge class during the event which was great. I'm sad that I didn't win any raffles though but we had left over drinks so I took this pellegrino, diet coke, and club soda back with me. I ended up having the opened pellegrino in my fridge for a couple of weeks. I had forgotten about and I gave the rest to my roommate the day before I left.

Talking about fridges one of my sorority sister who is a senior didn't want her fridge. So i got it. I picked it up from the house last saturday. See joining a sorority really helps. Go greek life!

I'm Back

Hello,

So glad to be done with finals. I'm very happy that I got a decent grade in all my classes so no retaking. This semester has been difficult. I was just more busy and had no motivation to do anything.  I got there it and survived.  I moved back home last thursday and I still need to unpack my things. I miss my college friends but i'm super glad to be back home. I'm going to the mall with my sis so thats going to be fun. We're also planning to get a membership to a gym so that we can workout. Basically I'm just going to chill for the summer. This is just a quick update posts and I will post more later.

More Macaroons

Hello friends,

Earlier I went to the small french patisserie with my friend.  Since these past few weeks I have been so busy I haven't gotten the chance to hang out with her. A couple of days a ago I saw her at starbucks and we end up talking about the french patisserie that she didn't know about. I really enjoy going to places that sell dessert with her because like me she loves desserts & pastries. We walked there and discovered that it was closed on that day. So today i shot her a text and we walked there this evening. It was really filled but we got our macaroons. I got one of each kind available they were: Chamomile, drunken cherry, dark chocolate, pernod, blueberry, and strawberry basil. She also kind one each like I did. This time i got the opera which was french tiramisu.

I love how this tiramisu looks. It has 8 layers but a little too hard. I really like how they used dark chocolate as a decor on top. Its definitely not your typical crappy hersheys chocolate because it doesn't have the nasty after taste. The bottom layer chocolate was milk but the texture is like a very thin crunch bar.

Its hard to describe the taste for this one but I like it.

I like the brightness of the color and it did taste quite good.

I didn't like this macaroon too much because it kinda had a hint of licorice. I don't like the tastes of licorice.

 (blueberry)

This is another good one. It had a hint of blueberry which was not overwhelming and the color was pretty.

(strawberry basil)

This one I would say is my favorite in this time. I really liked it because in the buttercream there was actual pieces of basil! I didn't taste much strawberry in it because it was good.

Sadly I think i forgot to take a picture of the dark chocolate one oops... That was good one too. I'm trying to finish this post quickly because I won't have much time these next few week because of finals.

For my mom's birthday I bought her this lovely thing also from the french patisserie. It looked so cute and had flowers in it. I'm not sure what this is but i think it's something with pistachios.

I'll have to go now and I promise to post more once I'm done with finals.

CUPCAKES!

Hello,

My school brought in food trucks which was super awesome. There were huge lines. They only gave each person a small amount of tickets to get food. There were four food trucks: sushi, mexican food, donut, and cupcake. I ended up going to the cupcake line because it was the shortest. As you can see above I got just a vanilla cupcake and a salted caramel cupcake. What I wasn't thinking was that getting these to cupcakes took away most my tickets. I couldn't get anything else so what did I do? I got back in the cupcake line and got mini cupcakes!

They are so adorable. I prefer the vanilla cupcake because I don't like the how salty the caramel one was. Because it had rained earlier it made the air very humid therefore the cupcakes taste very moist.  Though I do have to agree that the cupcake place back home makes better cupcakes. I wish they would do more during the school year.

Yucky Dessert

Hey,

I start off with a lovely picture of chipotle. I didn't want to eat caf food anymore so i decided to treat myself. A few weeks ago I mentioned about coquette. I went to the store to see what they actually have besides macaroon. I ended up buying this grapefruit tart?

It looked so pretty so thats why I bought it. It was also pretty expensive. I was super disappointed because the grapefruit the yellow part shown above was disgusting. It tasted a little bitter and just left a bad taste in my mouth. The custard underneath it was ok. I love to eat desserts but this was not ok. It looks very awesome but I'm never getting it again.

I Love Macaroons

Hi!

So you know its just one of those days that I really want to get some desserts. I didn't want to head over to somewhere far so i went to get some macaroons. Very expensive but delicious! I wanted to reward myself for doing a job well done on my greek week variety show as well as preforming well for my econ test and math quiz.

I don't exactly remember how this one taste. I think it was pretty sweet buttercream.

(Bleu Cheese-Bacon)

This was the most expensive macaroon out of the five. The color was a very nice. The taste was average for a macaroon. I don't really liked that its chocolate dipped because it made the macaroon a little harder. 

(Praline?)

This was honestly pretty good. I think it a simpler type of macaroon.

(Spiced Balti Curry-Raison)

I think I was the most intrigued by this one. You can differently taste the curry since the brown powder above I'm sure is curry. It was indeed a tad spicy. It was so strange just to taste curry in a macaroon. Too bad its not one of my favorites. 

(Pistachio)

This pistachio macaroon does taste like pistachio. For all those Pistachio lovers out there you will love.

Two More Items From Dresslink

Hello!

Like a couple weeks ago I ordered two items from Dresslink. As usual the shipping took about 2 weeks. I bought New Fashion Women's Imitation Jean Skinny Thin Leggings Tights Pants and Women's Office High Waist Over Hip Slim Skirt FINEJO. First I'm going to talk about the jeggings.

This was a miss for me. The first thing I noticed about the leggings was the smell which was kinda weird. The fabric felt really strange too. Since it was high waisted I thought I looked super weird in it. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten the XXL. I got it in that size because the sizes are known to run small. Though it was very comfy. 

The high waisted skirt is difficult to see sorry for the bad quality. I love this skirt. The material was nice and thick. I actually fit in this just right! I bought this skirt because I needed a professional skirt. I'm really glad I got this skirt in XL. A typical skirt like this in my local mall would have costed around $30 but this skirt was $7 (without including shipping costs of course).
