Real Talk: Scammer Joe

Hi all,

Today I'm going to tell you a real life story that happened to me recently. I have been back to classes for this past week. As most college students I have to buy expensive and thick textbooks. At this point I have ordered most of textbooks. For my business law class on the syllabus it said that I needed textbook. A kid that had taken this class last year named Joe (I will refer to him as Scammer Joe through the rest of the post) offered to sell me his textbook.

A little background on Scammer Joe:

I met him a year ago when we took two classes together and I ended up near him in the smaller class. I was the initiated the conversation and introduced myself. Joe was decent looking but had an oddly low voice. He was a BME major but discovered during his sophomore year that it was too difficult for him and switched to be an accounting major. I have always been really nice and tried to talk to him on various occasions as he can be very shy.

The other day Scammer Joe sent me a email and said that he still had his textbook. He said he would meet me in the business building to get the book. Then I met him and he showed the book to me. The Scammer Joe had an older edition of the book. He claimed that I can still use the book as he did and he said that he had received an "A" for the class. When I asked him how much I owed him he said $50. I said ok and that I would give him the money the next time. Before I left he told me to not flake at him.

Later I went and searched how much his edition of the book cost as well as the newer edition.

Scammer Joe's twelfth edition on amazon:
  • buy new: $65.98
  • buy old: $9.98
  • rent: $18.49

The newer thirteenth edition on amazon.
  • buy new: $169.99
  • buy old: $150.15
  • rent $34.47
As you can see Scammer Joe tried to make about $40 off of me when I can get the book on amazon for way less. The newer version is even cheaper to rent than the price he's offering me. Do he think I'm stupid and don't know how to use the internet?

I sent him an email explaining that I will not be buying his book and will return his book back to him the next time I see him. I thought he was good person but it was my misjudgment of character.

Have a great day!

XOXO

Story: Sacrifice

Hello,

In my free time i like to write bits and pieces of a story I guess. I mainly write to practice my writing so not much plot, beginning, or ending. I wrote this piece thinking about how much people will do for the one the love. Sacrifice is just the part of the deal. You can skip this post if you want since it's all going to be just writing. I think I was started writing this near the beginning of fall last year.

...
He was still holding the rock mid air when he found out what has happened. I let go of his arm. A pool of blood has started to gather around the lifeless body. He didn't mean to but what is done is already done. Once I regained my senses I called the police. I sat on the floor with my head against the wall. He sat beside me. He was expressionless. I put my hand gently on his arm.

“Leave. Leave before the police comes,” I told him.

That finally broke his train of thought. He looked at me incredulously and came to his senses.

“No,” he shook his head.” I can’t do it. I killed him. You didn't.”

I put both of my hands on his face while looking straight in his eyes. He was the person that I loved the most in the world.

“If you stay,” I started to explain.” They will continue investigation this situation and find out about everything. You’ll be kicked out of med school. If I say that I did it, it would only just be murder because of self-defense. I’m not as passionate and as good as you in med school anyway. You’re going to be a great doctor in the future don’t let this hinder you ok?”

He started to get up from the floor. I could hear the sirens in the distance.

“Go, now!” I shouted at him.

He picked up his pace and sprinted out without looking back. I picked up the bloody rock and sat back down on the floor. I waited.

...
That is all. Hope you liked it and have a fabulous day!

XOXO

Story: Elite

Hello~

More story writing since I have time now. Sorry its going to be messy and confusing and what not because I didn't edit this beforehand.

I stepped off the plane and into the airport. The sun was shining so bright that i can hardly see. It's been so nice being abroad these few years. Sometimes I wonder why I haven't gone sooner. Perhaps I was waiting for Terence to come into my life to go with me. He already came a couple days earlier and is planning to stay temporary for urgent matters. He's the reason why I'm here now. Our family driver came and picked me up.
"Welcome back miss," he said.
I nodded and rested comfortably at the back seat. I felt the wind on my hand when I stuck it out the window. The sunlight glisten brightly on my engagement ring. It's just a simple single diamond with a silver band. It's just the way I like it.

I made a pit stop at my favorite coffee shop that he introduced me to. When we were together we used to come here a lot. Even though only a couple of years have passed I felt like the years I've known him never happened like dream. I don't hate him nor do I feel sad anymore because i had met Terence. I feel like he was my savior in my time of despair. When I was alone and sad he appeared in my life. He understands me more than anyone else in this world. I order my usual iced latte.

~

Kingsley went into a coffee shop to get his coffee. After the accident for some reason he found himself attracted to this place. He discovered that this particular coffee place always makes his orders good and right. Whenever he's drinking their coffee he feels so calm. Though due to his busy workload he hasn't been able to come here as often.
"Mr your girlfriend just left. I haven't seen you together for awhile" said the barista.
"My girlfriend?" he asked her.
"Yeah when I first started to work here, you two came frequently to our coffee shop. Even the times you weren't together you would always get her coffee. Here's your coffee" the barista handed him.

~
Tiffany arrived at her home. Since she came back during busy working hours her parents were not there. It was always been like this. Her parents are workaholics who cared about stocks more than their own daughter. She missed her older brother, Derek. He couldn't handle their parents anymore and left home when he was just eighteen. They still talk and he occasionally updates her on his life. Right away Derek moved in with his girlfriend and when she was pregnant. They have always been struggling through the years and couldn't pay their bills on multiply occasions. He's too stubborn enough to not come back home.
Since she was a little girl Tiffany never had many friends. With her easy personality she knew a lot of people but never got to the friend stage with them. He was her only friend. He was her ex-fiancĂ©, Pierre. She knew Pierre ever since the moment she was born. Both their parents wanted them to get married from the very beginning. Gradually through out the years he became her best friend. Pierre always had the rebellious streak. Despite his parent's wishes he dated a couple of girls during high school.
Tiffany saw Pierre with a new girl around his arm. His new girl was the bitch and most popular at school, Lily. Tiffany is Lily's half-sister. Derek's parents got divorced. The divorce was nasty and they are no longer on speaking terms. His dad married Tiffany's mom while his mom married Lily's dad. Derek always believed that it was Lily's dad who caused the divorce. He never even acknowledge Lily's existence and refuses to visit his mom.
Tiffany dislikes Lily. She knows that once she gets a chance Lily will rub it in her face.

I hope you like it. I will write more as I go. I hope your enjoying your summer so far!

LOVE,

M

Story: Memories Part 1

Hola,

This is some part of some story I'm writing. I just wrote this on my phone so excuse the errors. I just like to write and write. Like I always say in my writings there's no beginning or end. This story is going to be a memory loss story. This scene is about main lead Anna talking to doctor Sebastian. He likes her since way back in high school. They discuss about Dominic who is Anna's boyfriend. Dom gets into an accident and losses his memory. Well of course Seb has to be Dom's doctor. Thoroughly the schemes of Sebastian's adoptive sister Angelica, Dom is in a relationship with Angelica. He also believes that Angelica's son is his. When Anna finds out their newly developed relationship she sees how happy he is and is unable to tell him the truth...

"Ah I didn't know I had that impression on you." Anna continues. "I have an older sister and an older brother both successful. If I can get along with my siblings then I can get along with anyone. Also there's sibling rivalry. I can do just as well as they could. Did you know that it was only the third week I've known Dom when I transferred? Because my stepmother is the cousin of Dom's father I got to attend an event held by the company of Dom's father.  Networking and connections can get you to many places. I only briefly spoke to Dom at the event. The next time I met him was at a charity ball. At that ball I was the only girl he asked to dance with. I'm surprised that he even chose me. I thought I was very lucky. With his family's wealth and power he could've been with any girl. It was later until I found the reason. He only chose me because he likes my older sister. It's disappointing and our one and only fight was about that. I was easily accepted into the elite group because I understand them and they understood me. I never ate any of the cookies you gave me back then. I'm severely allergic to peanuts. That is why Dom always threw them away. Even though we weren't deeply in love, he's very considerate and careful person. I really liked him but I don't know how he feels. Something as simple as my allergies you don't know. You never understood me. I'm glad that you become a very successful doctor but even if I never met Dom I would've been with you. I don't think we're suitable for each other."

"So you're not going to tell him his past?" Sebastian asks her.
She looked at her coffee.
"No." She said firmly. "When I saw him after the accident he looked so happy. I've never seen him so relax and carefree before. Why break him from his safe bubble? I did tell him there's a micro SD card somewhere that will jolt his memory. Even I don't know where it is. I told him that his past is filled with sorrow and unhappiness. In past he's always stressed and on the edge. Coming back and returning means losing the happiness he has now. Of course the decision is his. Then I meet your sister. Even if I don't know where the SD card is, I do know what it is in but I didn't tell Dom that. That item is a pen. It's a navy blue pen that I gave him. I told her that if she ever find it don't let Dom know. Because I like to journal I got Dom to journal his days too. The card has all the daily journals he ever wrote. So now it's up to fate and himself yo determine if he'll have his memory back."

Will Dom ever get his memory back? What are Angelica’s motives? Will Dom and Anna ever get back together?

I hope you like the story so far. I’m on a roll on posting :)

Thanks for reading,

M

Story: Pursuit Part 1

Hello,

Sorry for the long wait. I was going to post earlier but it got deleted on my phone so I had to rewrite this. These days I have been just finishing packing and getting things I need. I just want to relax a bit before move in. This another story hence the title. I love writing. Excuse the errors in the story as I did not edit it. Surprisingly I have a quite few Russian viewers so thank you. This story does not have candy though its unrealistic to a certain point. Without further hestitation here it is:

Everyone knows who Stephen is. A tall athletic guy blessed with good looks therefore very popular with the ladies. He is notorious for not having one but three beautiful girlfriends. That became every guy's envy. Born as the only child and from a well family he virtually have no financial worries. Though a genuinely kind person he is very spoiled and touched with a bit of condescension. Every girl dreams to be one of his girlfriends as he does treat them very well. His main girlfriend is Elsa. She is his first girlfriend. Elsa is a gifted artist and intelligent. She harbors no jealously toward Stephen's other girlfriends as he treats them all seemly the same. In fact Elsa treats the other girls well. The other girls became friends with Elsa after meeting Stephen. Such sweet girl that many guys have attempted to pursue her. The next girl is Kimberley or Kim. Kim is a little tougher than the other girls. A person who is very frank and quite loud sometimes. She and Stephen bonded over their equally love for sports. She rarely lies and definetly a loyal person. Our last girl is shy girl Joanna. A cute girl who can seem really reserved at first but is quite a gossip when known well. She at times may seem like a dumb blonde as well as talented in finding information. Joanna can be considered the little sister of everyone. At one point Stephen did have four girlfriends...
"Hey guys guess what I heard?" Said Joanna excitedly.
Elsa and Kim was with her sitting at the student lounge. The lounge was filled with luxurious couches and chairs along with small wooden tables. The afternoon sunlight shined through the big window making the entire place very bright and warm. Stephen was not with them as he had basketball practice. Elsa placed her cup of coffee down and smiled at her.
"What extraordinary news have you heard this time?" asked Elsa.
"You won't believe it. The new girl looks a lot like Lily." Joanna tells her with wide eyes.
"Are you sure you aren't just seeing Lily's ghost?" said the amused Kim.
"I'm not kidding," insisted Joanna, "I saw her myself. She does look like evil Lily."
Elsa calmly sips her coffee.
"I guess I'll have to check this girl out."

Elsa reapplied her lipgloss in front of the bathroom mirror. A girl rushed in and went to use the bathroom. As Elsa was about to leave she noticed a dropped lipstick. She picked it up and examined it. It wasn't hers so she waited for the other girl.
"Is this lipstick yours?" Asked Elsa.
The girl looked at her.
"Yeah its mine thanks," the girl replies.
"So what they say is true you do look a lot like Lily," Elsa said to her.
The girl looks slightly flustered and said "A lot of people have been giving me weird stares and said that I do look this girl Lily. You're probably the only one who hasn't given me a weird look."
Elsa fixes her hair and replies: "Lily was just another pretty face; there was nothing special about her. She was quite well known in this school. Her popularity stemmed from being one of Stephen's girlfriends. What a spectacular girl being able to steal the heart that had already bestowed upon three others. Stephen is your usual arrogant athlete though he is very good at what he does. He treats his girlfriends fairly well. Out of four girlfriends Stephen cared for Lily the most. He absolutely adored her. It was so devastating for him when she passed away less than six months ago. You being so similar to her might be pursued by him."
The girl scrunched her nose and shook her head.
"I don't think I can ever be with a guy like him, such a playboy." she tells Elsa.
"Ha how funny there was once a girl who said the exact words to me. I wouldn't say never if I were you. Stephen is quite charming and very persuasive. I have a feeling that I'll definetly see around. I'll head out." Elsa tells her.

.......

Of course this story isn't done yet. I do have the story line in my head right now. When I get the chance to write more I will post it up. Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!

Xo,

Maybelle
